Born and raised in Toronto, Nigel Woodz spent the majority of his childhood writing poetry and short stories, as well as performing at his local church. He knew his future was in music, as his abilities often felt effortless and seemed to be an innate part of who he was.
Although Nigel pursued secular music choices in the beginning of his career, he eventually decided to devote his life to praising God through song.
Nigel Woodz attributes his talent to an open mind and fervour for telling a story that crosses all boundaries. When asked what he feels is missing in the music industry, Nigel admits that, “The music industry has grown into a money-making business…and because of this music has lost its flavour – that special ingredient that makes music sweet”.
