This quote was brought to my attention and when I fully read it I was very moved. As I am sure each of you will agree with me that this quote is very true. You can only be the judge of your own life and answer the question, what is important to you? Nevertheless, I am very sure we all can agree that we all are guilty of this quote at some point and time in our life, which means a change needs to happen.
Yet there are many that will disagree with this quote. Well, all I say to them is open your eyes and look closely at the world around you.
The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, he said:
“Man.
Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money.Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health.
And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present;
the result being that he does not live in the present or the future;
he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.”
It makes it very clear and to the point in Mark 8:36-38
36. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
37. Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
38. Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels
